Dr. Luis Jorge Gonzales was born in Guadalajara JAL. Mexico. He is a catholic priest of the 'Orden del Carmen'. He obtained his PhD in spiritual Theology (Rome), another Doctorate in human Development, as well as a Doctor's Degree in Clinical Psychology, both in Mexico. He obtained a Postgraduate Specialized Course on Saint John of the Cross (Avila, Spain). He is a Certified teacher of Neurolinguistic Programming, NLP, (Santa Cruz California). Dr. Gonzales is a Certified Trainer in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and is trained at the highest level of TFT, Voice Technology. He now specializes in TFT.

He has written over 40 books, some of which are bibliographic: Jesus of Nazareth, Saint John of the Cross, Gandhi. Most of them deal with human and spiritual development, twenty of which are on NLP applied to different areas of human life. He is the first author who has written about this new field of contemporary science, NLP, in spanish. His most recent book is an introduction to TFT and it's application to the spiritual life, in Spanish. 

In 1967 he founded in Rome, the Carmelite Information Service, which he has jointly directed with a team, organized by him. This news bulletin of the Discalzed Carmelites has been published for over two decades in five languages.

In 1975 he was founder and first director of the specialized course on Spiritual Theology in the Pastoral Theology Institute of the CELAM (Latin American Episcopal Conference) in Medellin, Colombia. There he taught Spiritual Theology, as an invited Professor from 1976 to 1989. From 1971 to 1981 he taught Spiritual Theology in the "Seminario Conciliar de México" (ISSE).

From 1975 to 1992 he was Director of the summer courses on spirituality in Guadalajara, México. In 1993 he began Summer Courses on Spiritual Psychology in Nairobi, Kenya, and these continue today. In 1994 he obtained the Literary Merit Award by the "Asociacion de Libreros de Occidente", a publisher association in the west of Mexico.

From 1970 he has been dedicated to teach Spiritual Teaching and Human Development. He accompanies people and groups through spiritual orientation and psychotherapy. From 1989 to date he leads "Workshops on Excellence and Human Development" in more than 30 cities around Mexico, in some cities of the USA, Spain and other countries in Africa and Asia. At the present time he is professor at The Teresianum Theological Faculty in Rome Italy. He currently teaches TFT Algorithm Level courses in most of these countries as well as Diagnostic Level, in Spanish, in Mexico.
